The PlayStation 3 Gallery - Where to buy a Playstation 3

Where to buy a Playstation 3

When you have decided to buy a Sony Playstation 3, the next question is Where to buy a Playstation 3? There are several places where you can buy a Sony Playstation 3. The easiest place is to buy it online in a web store.

Before we look where to buy, I think it is necessary to look at the product itself. Sony Playstation 3 CPU is a 3.2-GHz Cell processor jointly developed by IBM, Sony Group, and Toshiba. One need not see more. IBM is a giant in the computer field while Toshiba and Sony are electronic giants. The result of course will be like a cross between Sophia Loren and Albert Einstein. Beauty and brain combined together to produce a technological marvel. The chip alone is close to 400 dollars according to Sony.

The Sony Playstation 3 has 512KB of L2 cache, and it comes with 256MB of main memory. The Sony Playstation 2 had only a mere 32MB! The GDDR3 VRAM on the Sony Playstation 3 is 256MB. It also comes with a NVidia's RSX Reality Synthesizer, which is equivalent to two of NVidia's top-of-the-line gaming cards, the NVidia 6800 Ultra graphics card. The improved graphics power provides smoother, more realistic game-play, and the Sony Playstation 3 handles high-resolution, high-polygon graphics efficiently. The Sony Playstation 3 is backwards-compatible with both original Playstation and Playstation 2 games. Sony Playstation 3 comes in two version:. one is the 20GB and the other is the 60GB version.

The Sony Playstation 3 supports the highest high definition display resolution of 1080p, on up to two HD screens. Other inputs in the Sony Playstation 3 include 6 USB 2.0 ports, SPDIF audio, two HDMI ports, and memory card slots for Memory Stick, SD, and Compact-Flash media. Sony Playstation 3 has ample connectivity, to say the least. The unit has gigabit Ethernet, built-in Wi-Fi 802.11b and Bluetooth wireless. The many connection options means you should be able to connect your way - for example, you'll be able to use up to 7 Bluetooth wireless controllers simultaneously, do video communication via the Internet, or use peer-to-peer networking so connected Sony Playstation 3's can talk to one another.

The Sony Playstation 3 console supports the Blu-ray Disc format including that format's BD-ROM (read only), BD-R (write-once), and BD-RE (rewritable) discs. Blu-ray can store a maximum of 54GB on a dual-layer disc, enabling delivery of hours of entertainment content in full high-definition HD quality. Other supported optical formats in the Sony Playstation 3 include SACD, DVD-Video, DVD-ROM, DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW, CD-R/RW, CD-ROM, Audio CDs, and Dual-Disc.

The only adverse comments that I have seen so far about the Sony Playstation 3 are its hefty price tag. Then some say that the first batch of games is unimpressive; doesn't upscale DVDs to hi-def resolution; no force feedback (rumble) support in controller; a USB port on the back of the controller would've been nice; no infrared port means non-Bluetooth universal remotes aren't compatible; glossy black finish is a fingerprint magnet; HDMI cable not included. However, when you look at the many pluses and the minuses, the pluses out number the minuses and the Sony Playstation 3 is fully worth its price. There are many electronic stores that sell Sony Playstation 3. You can buy it from any where. It does not matter as this product comes with an international warranty from the manufacturer.
